Starts building in the morning, and normally starts decreasing late afternoon. Normal strength 12-15 knots, but also days with more. Good directions for kiting are Southeast to East. Wind usually blows from SE on the spot. The best moments to come to Kakula Island, Vanuatu are June, July, August and September .

Kakula Island, Vanuatu is a Shallow, Flat and Medium waves spot. The launching/landing area is reported to be of Small size. This is a private island so the only place to go is at the very end by the sand spit. The beach is sand, with some lovely shells. Here is plenty of room to launch. Flat and shallow water, very clear and beautiful. When there are strong westerly currents, there are medium sized waves with long tubes 20 m offshore from the sand spit.
